Bag Tearing:
The machine is designed to use the
strength of the plastic bag to pull or move
itself into the bag to gather the grain. If the
bag is damaged in any way or the pulling
force is too high, the bag can tear or rip.
When that happens, the bag will tear off
and spill the grain on the ground.
To prevent this, the operator (standing on
the platform) can see the bag as it goes
around the pick-up assembly and up into
the rollers. If the operator sees that the bag
is torn or damaged in any way that could
lead to a failure they should increase the
relief valve pressure in the wheel drive
circuit to transfer most of the driving force
to thewheels and reduce the pulling load on
the bag. When the tear or damage to the
bag is into and through the rollers, reduce
the wheel drive system pressure back to
1000 psi and equalize the load between
the rollers and wheels.
